How did you get into photography?  Ever since I was a little kid I have been running around carrying a camera and chasing squirrels and birds around the yard. At first, I found myself shooting video but later on I started to be more into photography. In nowadays, I’m becoming to be interested in moving image again.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?  My friends and french fries. Long cycling journeys on my own. Anything.
What makes a good image to you?  A good image pops your mouth wide open.
Your favourite film and why?  Can’t name the favourite. Just watched Waste Land. It’s definitely worth checking!
Your favourite quote?  I ain’t into quoting that much but a good friend of mine once said “Maailmassa on miljoonia ovia, ethän sä oo vielä vittu koputtanu niistä yhtäkään”. It means “There are billions of doors in the world, you haven’t fucking knocked on any of them yet”.
What was the last interesting dream you remember?  Lately I have slept like a baby so I haven’t been dreaming much, I guess.
Your favourite photographer/artist?  My friends. There are lots of amazingly good photographers in the world but there’s no specific artist that I follow constantly. Sometimes I have seasons when I prefer doing my own thing and keeping my thoughts in it instead of concentrating too much on what others do.
Latest obsession?  Eggs. When I wake up I have to eat a lot of eggs.
If you can sum up your photos in one word, what would that be?  Life.
If you could speak another language what would it be?  Tortoisian. I have a turtle called Niilo. I’d like to ask how he feels about living in the toilet. Hah.
