How did you get into photography?  In 1997 I got into the musical group Hanson, and saw them doing a photoshoot on TV. So that was when it was decided that I would become a photographer; So I could meet Hanson.
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?  I love when other people are passionate about what they are doing and then seeing them succeed And these things: the pleasure of documenting, collaboration, lists, photos themselves, food.
What makes a good image to you?  The feeling I get when looking at it. No one has really written a word for it yet. I don’t actually think it can be done. Maybe a picture isn’t “worth a thousand words”. It’s probably that one word that no one has said yet.
Your favourite film and why?  State and Main. The dialogue is more than awesome. And I have a major crush on Philip Seymour Hoffman.
What was the last interesting dream you remember?  I have a lot of dreams about being in awesome photographic situations and just killing it with awesome photos. Then of course I wake up and don’t have the photos. But at that point I don’t think the photos matter because I still got the thrill.
Latest obsession?  I shoot digital. Your camera gives each photo a number up to 10,000, and then restarts. I am intrigued by the pictures that have the same numbers, and how/if they go together.
If you can sum up your photos in one word, what would that be?  Real.
If you could speak another language what would it be?  Spanish, because my grandmother is straight from Cuba and never taught anyone spanish. What is up with that?
